Unani Medical College Khushab is government-approved. Established in 1952, the institution has operated since. Unani Medical College Khushab is Pakistan's third oldest Unani medical college. It has been providing continuous services for 73 years along with quality medical education, a wonderful educational environment, and a modern approach to traditional Unani medicine with the highly educated, experienced, and certified teachers under the supervision of Principal Haji Manzoor Ahmed Sahib.
In 1952, Mr. Hafiz Shamsul Haq, Sahib Usman Haziq ul Hikma, authorized Tayyaba College, Government Patiala. Mr. Qazi Dr. Muhammad Bashir Sahib, L.M.P., Rungulhaj Hakeem, Hafiz Muhammad Manzoor Kundan Hakeem Haziq, the authorized Tayyaba College, Lahore, and Mr. Professor Muhammad Salimuddin Sahib, D.I.M.S., former principal of Government Tayyaba College, Patiala, jointly founded this medical institution under the name of Unani Medical School Khushab.
Hakeem Hafiz Muhammad Manzoor Sahib Kundan, who is considered one of the most distinguished Atba, was appointed as the principal of this institution due to his academic and practical excellence. At the same time, Dr. Muhammad Bashir Sahib was appointed as the vice principal due to his excellent performance and great kindness towards this institution. The deceased Mr. Hafiz Shamsul Haq Sahib Usmani was appointed as a professor in view of his academic and practical abilities. Later, Mr. Hakeem Asmatullah Sahib, the deceased tabeeb, haziq ul musanif, and leader of medical examinations, who was a highly talented and capable tabeeb, breathed new life into the institution by his sincere cooperation, and he was appointed as a professor for teaching and learning, after which the institution gradually started progressing with a regular system. In the meantime, Dr. Muhammad Bashir passed away, which caused a great loss to the institution.
